Our 5 step garden bed install process

Step 1: Inspect

We begin by evaluating the area for sun exposure, drainage, and space to determine the best location and layout for your garden beds.

STEP 2: Design & Plan

We work with you to choose the size, height, and material (such as cedar or composite), and confirm any add-ons like soil, irrigation, or mulch.

STEP 3: Build the Frames

We custom-build your raised garden beds on-site using rot-resistant materials, ensuring they’re level, durable, and visually clean.

STEP 4: Fill with Soil

We install high-quality garden soil and compost blend, ready for immediate planting. We also shape the surface for drainage and airflow.

STEP 5: Finish & Clean Up

We tidy the area, add mulch around the beds if desired, and leave you with a fresh, ready-to-grow garden space.

Custom garden beds add structure, beauty, and personality to any yard. These raised or in-ground features provide a clean, organized look while turning bland outdoor spaces into eye-catching landscapes. Whether you prefer clean lines or organic curves, custom designs allow you to match the beds with your home’s architecture and surrounding greenery.

Why It Matters:

  • Adds visual depth and dimension

Boost Plant Health with Raised Bed Gardening

One of the biggest benefits of custom garden beds is the direct impact on plant health. Raised beds offer excellent drainage, reducing the risk of root rot and overwatering. Gardeners can also fill them with high-quality soil blends tailored to their plants’ needs.

  • Reduced weed competition and pest presence
  • Increased air circulation to roots

Custom garden beds make it easy to garden smarter, not harder. Whether you're working with a narrow side yard, sloped terrain, or small urban space, a tailored bed design helps you use every available inch effectively.

Design Possibilities:

  • Tiered and multi-level garden beds for uneven ground
  • L-shaped or corner beds to utilize awkward spaces
  • Narrow beds for pathways or along fences
  • Vertical additions for climbing plants and added visual interest

Eco-conscious homeowners love custom beds for their sustainability potential. By using natural or recycled materials, you reduce environmental impact while creating a beautiful, long-lasting garden feature.

Eco Benefits:

  • Water-efficient design with less runoff
  • Use of organic compost and soil
  • Companion planting for natural pest control
  • Durable materials that reduce long-term waste

Low Maintenance, Long-Lasting Results

Garden beds built with quality materials are made to last and to make your life easier. Elevated designs reduce back strain and simplify regular maintenance like watering, weeding, and harvesting.

  • Fewer weeds thanks to bordered beds
  • Materials resist rot, pests, and weather damage
  • Prevents soil erosion and pooling
  • Less bending, easier upkeep year-round

  • Adjustable height for comfort and accessibility
  • Custom dimensions to fit exact yard layouts
  • Design features like trellises, dividers, and seating

COMMON QUESTIONS And Answers

If you have any other questions about our custom garden bed installations, feel free to call the number at the top of the page and a staff member will be happy to help you.

What types of materials do you use?

After reviewing your space, we’ll recommend the best materials based on your style, budget, and garden goals. We offer options like cedar, treated wood, metal, and composite materials each selected for durability, performance, and visual appeal.

Can you build garden beds in the rain?

It depends on how much it’s raining and the condition of the ground. Light rain might be manageable, but for heavier rain or muddy terrain, we may need to reschedule to ensure proper installation and safety.

Will you take before and after pictures?

Our technicians always take before and after photos, if you would like some, ask the staff or office and we will send them right over to you.

Do you offer soil, planting, or mulch installation too?

Yes! We can include soil delivery, planting services, and mulch installation as add-ons. Just let us know what you're looking for, and we’ll include it in your quote.

How do I pay?

You can pay with cash or a check, both are preferred. Just give it to the technician when they’re done or bring it to our office. We’ll also send you a bill in an email, and you can pay that online if you like.

What is the typical timeline for a garden bed install?

Most garden bed projects are completed in a day or two. Larger or more complex designs like tiered beds or builds on sloped terrain may take a bit longer. We’ll give you a time estimate during your quote.
