A thorough roof inspection is key to preventing costly damage and extending your roof’s life. Here’s what we check:

  • Shingles and Surface Material – We look for missing, cracked, curled, or broken shingles, as well as signs of granule loss or moss growth.
  • Flashing and Seals – Flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights is inspected for cracks, corrosion, or improper installation that could lead to leaks.
  • Roof Penetrations – Vents, pipes, and boots are checked for cracks, gaps, and UV damage to prevent water intrusion.
  • Gutters and Drainage – We ensure gutters are clear, properly secured, and draining water away from the roof and foundation.
  • Structural Integrity – We examine for sagging roof decks, soft spots, or other indicators of structural weakness.
  • Signs of Moisture – Interior and exterior signs of leaks, water stains, or daylight coming through roof boards are investigated for underlying issues.
  • Ventilation and Attic Health – Proper airflow prevents heat and moisture buildup that can shorten your roof’s lifespan.

Our detailed inspection covers every critical component to ensure your roof stays strong, safe, and weather-ready.

Why Roof Inspections Are Critical

A roof takes the brunt of harsh weather wind, rain, sun, and debris. Over time, this exposure leads to wear, leaks, and structural issues. Regular inspections prevent these problems from escalating, saving you money and stress.

How Often Should You Inspect Your Roof?

  • Routine Check: Once per year for standard roofs.
  • After Severe Weather: Heavy storms, hail, or wind warrant an extra inspection.
  • Older Roofs: If your roof is 15+ years old, schedule checks twice a year.

What a Professional Roof Inspection Covers

1. Exterior Components

  • Shingles: Check for missing, cracked, or curling shingles.
  • Flashing: Inspect around chimneys, vents, and skylights for gaps or corrosion.
  • Roof Penetrations: Ensure vents, pipes, and boots are sealed and damage-free.

2. Structural Integrity

  • Look for sagging sections or soft spots in the decking.
  • Verify ventilation systems prevent moisture buildup.

3. Interior Signs

  • Check attics for water stains, mold, or daylight coming through roof boards in the attic.

Common Issues Found During Inspections

  • Leaks and Water Damage: Even small leaks can cause mold and rot.
  • Granule Loss: Indicates shingles are nearing the end of life.
  • UV and Heat Damage: Shortens roof lifespan and affects material strength.

DIY vs. Professional Roof Inspections

While you can spot obvious issues like missing shingles from the ground, many problems are hidden. Professionals use proper tools, training, and safety gear to identify risks you might miss.

What Happens After an Inspection

  • We provide a detailed report with photos.
  • Recommend repairs or maintenance if needed.
  • Discuss preventive measures to extend your roof’s life.

Bottom Line

A professional roof inspection is the simplest way to protect your home. Don’t wait for leaks—schedule your inspection today for peace of mind.

COMMON QUESTIONS And Answers

If you have any other questions about our roof replacement process, you can call the number at the top of the page and a staff member will help you.

What types of shingles do you use?

After inspecting your roof, we’ll recommend the best shingle options based on your needs & budget. We offer a variety selection of high-quality shingles, including asphalt, architectural, and composite, ensuring durability and the right look for your home.

Can you replace my roof in the rain?

It depends on how much it’s raining and the size of the project. Light rain may allow us to proceed with extra precautions, but if the weather is too poor, we won’t install to ensure quality and safety. Rest assured, we’ll always make the best call for a durable and properly installed roof.

Will you take before and after pictures?

Our technicians always take before and after photos, if you would like some, ask the staff or office and we will send them right over to you.

Do you provide gutter installing as well?

We sure do, gutter cleaning & installing is separate service that would need a quote, if you ask any of our staff we can help you get a quote.

How do I pay?

You can pay with cash or a check, both are preferred. Just give it to the technician when they’re done or bring it to our office. We’ll also send you a bill in an email, and you can pay that online if you like.

What is the typical timeline for a roof replacement?

Most roof replacements are completed within a few days, depending on the size, weather conditions, and type of roofing materials used. Larger projects or unexpected complications may extend the timeframe.

Will insurance cover roof replacement?

Insurance policies vary; coverage often depends on whether damage is caused by circumstances like storms, accidents, or wear and tear excluded in regular policies. Homeowners should review their insurance plan for clarification.
